LOS ANGELES, CA / TACOMA, WA – (NOVEMBER 5TH, 2007 DMPR) – Rusty Eye is certainly a rare breed in today’s Metal scene. With 12 years of creating an auditory establishment under their own independent belts (a fifth album in the works), LA-based Rusty Eye has been rising slowly, but strategically upward, in today’s anemic and monochromatic musical landscape.
Their latest career accomplishment is a controversial, Lucio Fulci-esque music video for the NWOBHM-influenced single “Mr. Cannibal”, winner of the LA Music Awards: “Best Metal Single 2006”. The high-budget video (filmed on 16 mm.) was directed, co-produced, and financed by Alejandro Ordoñez. Some of the established names that worked in this high-budget production are: cinematographer/director of photography Eric Leach (Otis E., Living Hell, Cabin Fever), editor Johnny Bachelier at King Cut Editorial (Fronterz), colorist/co-producer Bryan Robbins (Something’s Wrong in Kansas), and Production Designer Chante Pradella.
Having shared stages with bands such as DORO, VIXEN, VEINS OF JENNA, KATATONIA, and MOONSPELL, Rusty Eye delivers an eclectic sui generis brand of music which attracts a diverse audience – mostly listeners of Heavy Rock, Punk, Progressive, and Thrash Metal – along with horror movie enthusiasts as well.
Rusty Eye’s music is available on Apple iTunes, Century Media Distro, and Super D One-Stop Int. Distributors (Cdbaby.com).
